Outbreak Status - Disease Tracker

In December of 2019, the Coronavirus caught the world by surprise. It rapidly expanded to every country, causing countless deaths. My team and I created an app that would track the virus and give up to date news, figures, and data. We also included a chart and a questionnaire.

One of the most interesting parts of our journey was that our website went viral in China. We received so many hits that the Chinese government censored us. The Chinese government has a long history of censoring foreign websites and media. We are proud that we got enough traction that a foreign government decided we were a threat to their propoganda and censored us.

QR Code Generator

QR codes are huge in China. When I was there, people used QR codes for everything, from paying for food at a restaurant, to posting them on flyers for upcoming shows. I believe that QR codes will gain popularity in the United States so I wanted to create a way for the common person to get involved.

Using the latest Javascript available, along with Canvas, I successfully created an algorithm that will generate a QR code for any url. I also used Bootstrap to spice up the page. The hardest part of the project was dealing with all the variables and “drawing” the QR code. Luckily, my friend David Shim was there to help me.

Nature's Best Trees

Nature's Best Trees of Chicago, IL paid me to improve their existing wordpress site. I used Wordpress, mixed with the latest templates and Javascript code to improve their website. I did a complete redesign and made it mobile responsive. The client was very happy. All code is private but available upon request.

Beautiful Javascript Clock

I like to research the latest popular Javascript libraries. One day I came across p5.js, which is a package that makes it easier to draw objects and create games. After an afternoon of messing around with it, I created this cool "Tron" style clock.
